Praying for Greater Montgomery

As a reminder, in 2008, the Montgomery Baptist Association identified 5 key areas of need in the Greater Montgomery area. We have been praying around these needs over the last 7 years. There has been much change since 2008 and, not surprisingly, God is on the move!
So, if you are new, this is what prompts most of our prayer requests each week.

These needs are:
Crime. Poverty. Race. Schools. Consumer Christianity. These are issues that we as followers of Christ need to be concerned with as we live here.

Today's Prayer Points:
1. Look at the five key needs of the Greater Montgomery area and begin to pray about what you should focus on in your own outreach through your church or individually. Which area is the Lord drawing you to? How can you contribute to ministering in one or more of these areas?
2. Ask the Lord to open up doors for you to minister and share the Truth and Love of Christ with those you meet as you minister?

The parable in Matthew 13:1-9 is a great story that Jesus told to help us remember that all we do will reap something......what will your seeds of relationship reap this week?

"That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. 2 Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. 3 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. 9 Whoever has ears, let them hear.”
