Again...the Way We Do Things Matters....Lord Help Us!

Wanted to repeat this post from a few weeks ago. I think we still need to hear it. I do. How about you?
************************************************************

I am reminded of one of my favorite songs by Kyle Matthews, a Christian artist/songwriter. I think one of his songs is very appropriate for how we go about things here in Greater Montgomery as followers of Christ. I want to hold just the chorus up against Matthew 25 as we go about living in the Greater Montgomery area. IT IS NOT ABOUT JUST DOING WHAT MATTHEW 25 SAYS TO DO. IT is about HOW we do it, our motives and how we treat people. The way we treat people shows our TRUE heart. As followers of Christ, we HAVE to check our hearts all the time. I have to. Every day in fact. The way we treat people, current issues, etc MATTERS!! It is the testimony of who we really are.

"The way we go about it matters,
It's the testimony of the heart.
Yes, the way we go about it matters,
It's the proof of who we really are". Kyle D. Matthews

Let's all ponder that as we go about our week and months ahead. The way we handle things DOES MATTER!!!

Lord, help each of us who reads this post today remember that the way we do things DOES matter. It IS the testimony of our heart condition. Help us to remember that the WAY we approach others around us is important to a witness of who you are in us!

Colossians 3:12-17    "Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. ..."
