“Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover him, and not to hide yourself from your own flesh? Then shall your light break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up speedily; your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.
Pray for these ministries who love schools and minister there often! Pray also about you can be involved in ministering to schools in our area.
1. Child Evangelism Fellowship-Good News Clubs. My son went to their after school program when he was in elementary school. It was a great way to reinforce what we were teaching at home and what he was learning at church. There kids there who heard the gospel in ways that they understand.Pray for CEF as they are gearing up for the Fall ministries.
2. Several local churches reach out to kids through a tutoring ministry. Pray as they build relationships with schools in their communities.
3. Community of Hope, Nehemiah Center and Forest Park Ministry reach out to kids in our school systems as well. Pray that they continue to have opportunity to share the gospel freely.
4. Montgomery Public Schools is always looking for tutors and helpers after school AT OUR SCHOOLS. Pray that the volunteers who are followers of Christ will be able to share the gospel in ways that the kids understand.
