The Way We Go About It Matters!

I am reminded of one of my favorite songs by Kyle Matthews, a Christian artist/songwriter. I think one of his songs is very appropriate for how we go about things here in Greater Montgomery as followers of Christ.

I want to hold just the chorus up against Matthew 25 as we go about living in the Greater Montgomery. IT IS NOT ABOUT JUST DOING WHAT MATTHEW 25 SAYS TO DO. IT is about HOW we do it, our motives and how we treat people. The way we treat people shows our TRUE heart.   As followers of Christ, we HAVE to check our hearts all the time. I do. Every day in fact. The way we treat people, current issues, etc MATTERS!!  It is the testimony of who we really are.

"The way we go about it matters,
It's the testimony of the heart.
Yes, the way we go about it matters,
It's the proof of who we really are".  Kyle D. Matthews

Matthew 25;34-40 "Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world.

For I was hungry, and you fed me. THE WAY YOU GO ABOUT IT MATTERS.I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. THE WAY YOU GO ABOUT IT MATTERS.

I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. THE WAY YOU GO ABOUT IT MATTERS.

I was naked, and you gave me clothing. THE WAY YOU GO ABOUT IT MATTERS. I was sick, and you cared for me. THE WAY YOU GO ABOUT IT MATTERS. I was in prison, and you visited me.THE WAY YOU GO ABOUT IT MATTERS.

“Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink?  Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing?  When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?   “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,[f] you were doing it to me!’   IT'S THE TESTIMONY OF YOUR HEART. IT'S THE PROOF OF WHO WE REALLY ARE!
Lord, help each of us who reads this post today remember that the way we do things matters. It IS the testimony of our heart condition. Help us to remember that the WAY we approach others around us is important to you!

Here is a snippet of the song I just quoted.
